Adaptive Crossfit
Everyone deserves a place to train, feel strong, and be part of a community.
Adaptive CrossFit is CrossFit coaching that’s thoughtfully modified (scaled) to suit your body, ability, and goals. We use functional movements and smart progressions to make training safe, accessible, and empowering for people with disability, injury, chronic conditions, or neurodivergence—while keeping the spirit of CrossFit: support, consistency, and getting better over time.
What is Adaptive CrossFit?
Adaptive CrossFit is strength and conditioning that’s tailored to the individual. That might mean changing:
-
the weight or resistance
-
the range of motion
-
the equipment used
-
the position (standing, seated, wheelchair-based, supported)
-
the speed, volume, or complexity of a workout
You still train with purpose—just in a way that fits you.

Who is it for?
Adaptive training can work well for people with a wide range of needs, including (but not limited to):
-
mobility impairments (including wheelchair users)
-
limb difference or amputation
-
neurological conditions
-
intellectual disability
-
neurodivergent athletes (including autism)
-
Down syndrome
-
vision or hearing impairment
-
people returning to exercise after injury or surgery
If you’re not sure whether it’s right for you, we’ll talk it through and help you find the best starting point.
How it Works?
Individualised scaling
Every session includes options so you can train at the right level for you. We might adjust weights, reps, movement range, or use supportive tools (bands, boxes, benches, straps, or alternative implements).
Functional movement focus
We prioritise movements that carry over into daily life: pushing, pulling, hinging, squatting, carrying, bracing, and getting up and down safely—adapted to your needs.
Inclusive environment
You’re welcome here. Some athletes train in integrated classes with inclusive scaling, and others prefer a 1:1 or small-group option. Either way, you’ll be supported and respected.
Coaching that puts safety first
Our coaches focus on clear communication, movement quality, and steady progress. We scale for success—so you can build confidence and capability over time.
